a beautiful day for a photo shoot
What an exciting day for all of us here at Liberty Farms! The vision we’ve had for The BARN to become the idyllic event location we’ve known it could be is taking shape and we couldn’t have asked for a better day for our photoshoot. The trees were stunning shades of orange and red but just a wind gust away from being bare.
Columbia Tent and Rentals, who are complete superstars, turned up early with a crew to set up the gorgeous farm tables and chairs we were using in our set up.
It was wonderful to see the barn finally decorated looking like it was ready for a party. It’s been a journey getting it to this state though. The dirt floors gone and replaced with tinted red polished concrete. The strip-lights banished and replaced with stunning chandeliers and sconces – all on dimmers and just how I love lighting to be!
Then arrived the jewels in the crown – the flowers. Kim at The Flower Blossom Farm, who is literally, round the corner, produced stunning arrangements for the tables, bouquets for our model bride, and then proceeded to decorate our ceremony site with garlands and an arbor, handmade by her husband, and decorated with fall blossoms. It was stunning. We are definitely commissioning him to make us one for our brides!
Elena, from Elena Wolfe Photography, started clicking away, doing what she does with such poise in her calm gentle manner. And then arrived the bridal crew, the model, hair and makeup, and True North Bridal with the dress and accessories. It felt like a wedding without the stress.
We all had a blast taking the photos with the horses. Fortunately, Brooke, the model, loves horses, so some great shots were had. From the orchard to the hilltop – each shot showcased the stunning views afforded by the grounds. As we were just passing the cows and sheep, we couldn't believe it when we saw a hot air balloon slowly ascending over us – I think coming from a local B&B that gives balloon rides! It flew right over the stallion barn, and we hollered greetings to the passengers as they flew past.
Well the evening started descending rapidly upon us, and we had to click away with the remaining shots. The barn looked stunning at that time of day, and I can just imagine it full of guests with twinkling lights in the evening, the sound of laughter and a blazing fire pit outside.
Thank you everyone who helped on that day. It was a blast! I cannot wait to host our first event next spring.
